Chop veggies into small pieces.
Brown your ground beef.
Once ground beef is browned, add veggies to meat and cook until soft, but still crisp.
Add sloppy joe sauce to meat/veggies and cook for 5 minutes.
Cooking at the Campsite
Prepare your cooking area by heating up charcoal briquettes.
Place pie irons on heating briquettes to warm them up.
Open the can of biscuits and press each one into a larger, flatter circle using your fingertips.
Place a spoonful of sloppy joe filling on the center of the biscuit and then fold the dough up and around the filling. Seal the filling into the biscuit by pressing the biscuit dough together to form a pocket.
Remove pie irons from fire and butter the insides of them.
Place one prepared biscuit into each pie iron, close and clamp.
Cook for 4 minutes on one side. Flip, then cook for 4 more minutes. At this point, check for doneness. The biscuit should be brown and crispy all over. If not done, close and clamp and place back in fire for another 1-2 minutes. Check again.
